Atlaslogy treatment

Learn how an atlaslogy consultation works and which aspects are in focus.

When atlaslogy
can support

Many people are looking for ways to support their well-being naturally. Recurring complaints such as headaches, migraines, neck tension, back pain, or dizziness are common – or the feeling that the body is out of balance.

At the same time, the spine carries us through everyday life, at work and in our movements.

Therefore, many people pay attention to it as a precautionary measure in order to consciously support balance, posture and body awareness.

Atlaslogy is considered both for existing conditions and as a preventative measure. It is suitable for people of all ages who are looking for a gentle method to support optimal body posture.

A misaligned atlas can be involved in a wide range of complaints, including:

  • Back pain

  • Migraines and headaches

  • Tension and muscle cramps

  • Numbness

  • Whiplash

  • Dizziness

  • Scoliotic postural abnormalities

  • Pelvic tilt

  • Herniated discs

  • Poor posture

  • Digestive problems

  • Dysfunctions of an organ or in the hormonal system

  • ...and many more signs

For people who value:

  • Natural self-healing

  • A holistic consideration of body, mind and soul

  • Methods without pressure, equipment or manipulation

  • A gentle, respectful approach

  • A holistic and cause-oriented approach to supporting personal well-being

Who atlaslogy might be suitable for

Atlaslogy supports people in different life situations – from stressful everyday life to prevention and a more conscious approach to their own body.

In stressful everyday situations

When symptoms affect daily life or recur frequently, many people seek supplementary and calming support.

For active prevention

For people who want to be more aware of their posture and movement, and support their well-being in the long term.

For babies, children and adolescents

Calm support for restlessness or postural abnormalities – without pressure or manipulation.

For adults in working life

Atlaslogy can help to become more aware of one's own body sensations during times of stress, long hours working at a screen, or one-sided strain.

What is the focus of an atlaslogy treatment

The atlas is the central point serving as an important reference point for posture and balance.

During the treatment, a targeted energetic impulse is applied. The body can absorb this impulse and react to it in its own way. The focus is on perception, balance, and the interplay within the body.

The application is performed calmly and without mechanical action.

Consultation process

An atlaslogy consultation is calm and structured. The treatment is always performed without pressure or jerky movements. The number of treatments can vary depending on the individual's progress.

01

Short conversation about the current situation

At the beginning, complaints, past events, and personal habits such as sleep, daily routine, and well-being are discussed. The atlaslogist also explains the method and possible reactions of the body.

02

Observation of posture and the interaction between the pelvis and legs

The posture and the interplay of the pelvis, spine and legs are carefully observed.

03

Setzen eines gezielten, energetischen Impulses am Atlas

The atlaslogist palpates the lateral processes of the atlas vertebra with their two middle fingers. This gently sets the atlas vibrating with an energetic impulse. This impulse is absorbed by the client's original program and returns the atlas to its original position.

The vibration is transmitted to the entire spine: any pelvic tilt can be corrected, existing nerve compressions can be relieved, and complaints/illnesses originating in the displaced atlas can improve or become completely resolved.

04

A rest period to aid in processing

The treatment is followed by a rest period while lying down. This gives the body time to perceive and process the impulses. During this time, you may experience various sensations such as warmth, calm, or relaxation.

05

Follow-up check

After the rest period, the leg tests are repeated, and the client’s pelvis is checked to see if it is aligned. The client is also informed about any possible reactions.

Possible reactions of the body

Different reactions can occur after a consultation. These may appear in the hours or days that follow.

Possible observations:

  • Altered perception of posture or movement

  • Fatigue or increased need for rest

  • Energy boost

  • Short-term feelings of tension

  • A feeling of relief

Such reactions can occur temporarily after a consultation and are a positive sign that the body is engaged in the self-healing process.

Limitations

of atlaslogy

Atlaslogy has clear limitations.

  • No diagnoses will be made.

  • No diseases are treated.

  • No promises of healing are made.

Atlaslogy is understood as a complementary, holistic method to support balance, body awareness, and well-being. Medical consultation is important in case of health problems.

There are situations in which the body can only respond to supportive impulses to a limited extent. Even then, atlaslogy can be perceived as gentle support.

What can support the process

Atlaslogy views the individual as an active participant in their own well-being. Everyday habits can play a role.

Frequently recommended approaches:

  • Regular exercise

  • Conscious handling of posture

  • Sufficient fluid intake

  • Avoid sleeping on your stomach

  • Time for relaxation

These aspects can help to strengthen body awareness.

SVFA quality standards

The Swiss Association for Atlaslogy (SVFA) ensures clear standards.

It ensures that:

  • members have a sound education;

  • work is carried out according to uniform guidelines;

  • quality and transparency are guaranteed.

The association provides guidance and strengthens confidence in the method.

  • An energetic impulse is applied to the atlas vertebra to support the body in its regulation.

  • The number of sessions depends on the individual situation and personal perception. Often, the process begins with regular sessions at shorter intervals. Subsequently, the rhythm and scope of the treatments are continuously adjusted. Depending on the initial situation, the support can last a few months or longer. Later, occasional check-in sessions are often sufficient to maintain balance and body awareness.

  • No, the method is performed without pressure or manipulation.

  • For people of all ages who prefer a gentle method.

  • For people with musculoskeletal complaints, stress, psychological strain or tension in everyday life, as well as for people who want to take a proactive approach to their health.

  • The body can react differently after an atlaslogy session. Changes are perceived individually and can appear immediately or in the following hours or days.
